Genesis 17 Sarai gives Abram the bond servant Hagar to have his child, because she was barren. Hagar conceives and bare Ishmael. He is the son of the bond woman mentions in Galations 4. So evidently this represents God breathed into Abraham and Sarah. In Genesis 21 God opens Sarah's womb and she bares Abraham Isaac who is the son of the free woman in Galations 4. So quite litterally Ishmael was born AFTER THE FLESH and Isaac was born AFTER THE SPIRIT.
